Thursday 2nd Sept

Limited practice time for skiers - charged at Club rates - on a first come first served basis.

 

Friday 3rd Sept

Preliminary rounds – provisional schedule

08.30 Tricks – maximum 20 skiers (men + women)

10.00 Jump – maximum 30 skiers (men + women)

14.00 Slalom – maximum 30 skiers (men + women)

 

Saturday 4th Sept

Final Rounds starting at 12.30 hours

12.30 Tricks 6 Men, 4 Women

14.00 Jump 6 Men, 4 Women

15.30 Slalom 6 Men, 4 Women

 

Sunday 5th Sept

Departure

NOTE – the MasterCraft European Wakeboard Tour will be stage on the Arena on Sunday.

Entry Limitation

As per the World Cup Rules for Slalom and Jump the organisers will accept entries from the top seeded 16 Men and 12 Women from those entries received. The organisers reserve the right to have 2 wild card entries into each event. If we are short of entries in either event then we will attempt to accept more entries into the other event.

But our time is limited, we have Friday only to complete the Preliminary rounds. The arena is not available on Sunday morning.

For Tricks we will take an entry of 20 skiers (12 Men, 8 Women). Again the top seeded skiers from those entered will be chosen to take part.

Accommodation

Skiers are responsible for their own costs of accommodation.

Travel

Skiers are responsible for their own costs for travel.

The organisers will help with airport collections if requested at least 10 days in advance.

HOTELS

The OFFICIAL hotel for the competition is the Moat House Hotel at Shepperton. This hotel has a swimming pool and gym. Special rates of £60 for a twin or double or £48 for a single room have been negotiated. These prices include English breakfast.

The advantage of staying at this hotel is that the officials will be staying there and some transport to and from the site can be made available!

TRAVEL

Thorpe is located within 20 minutes of London HEATHROW airport. British Water Ski volunteers will be able to collect you from Heathrow airport provided your date, time of arrival and flight number are notified to us by email at least 10 days prior to the competition.

Skiers arriving at airports other than Heathrow are responsible for their own travel arrangements.

All the usual car rental companies are located at the airport should you wish to use your own transport. Transport between your selected hotel and the site is the responsibility of each skier.

Cash prizes to foreign nationals are chargeable with British Income Tax. This is something we can do nothing about as it is a Government Law.

Any cash prizes above GB£1500 (converted at the exchange rate at the time of the competition) are subject to tax at the basic rate of 22%. This percentage is applied to sums above the £1500 allowance. Athletes charged this tax will be given a form to submit to their own tax authorities.
