Region EAME 6th Annual International Wakeboard

Officials and Judging Seminar

Report By Colin Hart Chairman IWSF World Wakeboard Council

The weekend of 29th and 30th March 2003 saw the 6th annual International Wakeboard Judging Seminar, held in Brussels, hosted by the Belgium Waterski and Wakeboard Federation. 45 people from 9 countries packed out the seminar rooms for a two day session of trick explanation and video analysis. The two day course culminated in a series of examinations, from a basic judging level through to International Level 1 status, the level that all judges aspire to.

The International examination is a multichoice paper and has a written section which future judges are allowed one hour to complete, the examination is then finished off with video analysis of Pro riders from the WWC Worlds and European Pro Tour, with riders such as Darin Shapiro and Daniel Watkins.

How to use the WWC Wakeboard Event Calculation program was also included within the Seminar.
